Our laboratory’s history began when the university center of health care, health education, and sports medicine was established in 1964, and it has sustained stable growth in each domain.

We are committed and collaborative physicians, nurses, nutritionists, exercise instructors, scientists and support staff.
■Where we are
We are at the Department of Basic Medical Science in the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka City University. We belong to national/international academic communities in fields including sports medicine, nutrition, physiology and behavioral science.

Research
Neuroscientific studies to get insight into the nature of human behavioral responses forming individual habits by using neuroimaging techniques such as magnetoencephalography (MEG).
We focus on the neural mechanisms of…
1) the irresistible desire related to appetite,
2) mental/physical stress, and
3) mental/physical fatigue and fatigue sensation.
