The Department of Surgical Oncology was established in 1948 as the First Department of Surgery. The lab conducts clinical work and basic research on gastrointestinal, hepato-biliary-pancreatic, mammary and endocrine tumors. We have performed more than 1,200 operations per year, with an impressive number of operations for malignant tumors, and have provided state-of-the-art technology for high-difficulty surgery and endoscopic surgery. We are committed to engaging in translational research in the fields of basic and clinical medicine, and we are still conducting various basic and clinical research projects at present.
