The Abeno campus is an urban complex located just a few minutes’ walk from the major train stations of Tennoji and Abeno at the gateway to southern Osaka. It is home to the Graduate School of Medicine/Faculty of Medicine, Graduate School of Nursing/School of Nursing, and the University Hospital, as well as related facilities.

The seamless integration of educational, research, and clinical facilities on campus means that first-rate professionals are trained, top-class research is conducted, and sophisticated advanced medical care is provided here every day.

Based on the founding principles of “Wisdom, Valor, and Benevolence”1, the goal of the Faculty of Medicine at Osaka City University is to train medical professionals who can provide advanced medical care with deep compassion, as well as leading global researchers who can conduct cutting-edge and innovative medical research.

1“Wisdom, Valor, and Benevolence” = Confucian virtues of 智(Chi), 勇(Yu), and 仁(Jin)“
