Expert, Independent assessment team for human spaceflight program, Chief Engineer Office of JAXA

Title of the lecture:
Risk management for human spaceflight system and operations

Expert of the Independent assessment team for human spaceflight program from Chief Engineer Office, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), at present. He conducted HTV (H-II Transfer Vehicle) a.k.a. KOUNOTORI project and flight mission during 2014 to March-2016. He also provided the Chief Engineer role to the Human Spaceflight program. His first tour to the human spaceflight program was started in 1993. He dispatched to the Mission Operations Directorate of the Johnson Space Center, NASA as NASDA (National Space Development Agency of Japan) Space Station Intern for Operations Planning during 1993 to 1994. From 1994 to 2000, He lead the JEM (Japanese Experiment Module) mission control center system design and operations capability development and preparation with other international partner agency member. During 2000 to 2002, He was assigned as liaison of the NASDA Houston Office. He represented the space station program planning, system integration and operations preparation to the Space Station Program Office. From 2002 to 2014, He conducted the spacecraft tracking and control system operations including joint missions with the JEM and the HTV.
He graduated Sendai National College of Technology, and enrolled NASDA in 1976.
